open-bot

The self-hosted conversational bot with an operated desktop.

Each user gets a chat plus an isolated Linux desktop the bot can see and operate — browse, run apps, write code, and manage files on your behalf.

Why open-bot?

Chat is just the surface — every conversation is backed by a real desktop.

Operated desktop

Every user gets an isolated Linux desktop the bot can see and control — windows, apps, browser, terminal.

Chat-first control

Drive the desktop from conversation. The agent opens apps, runs commands, and reports back with context.

Voice in and out

Hold-to-talk speech input and read-aloud replies, with per-user provider configuration.

Media vault

Images, video, and 3D models shared in chat are filed into per-thread albums automatically.

Plugin system

Extend the agent with skills, personas, cron jobs, desktop tools, and dashboard tabs.

Self-hosted

Your server, your data. Multi-user with per-user config, key vault, and admin controls.

Quick start
